Unforgettable Adventures

leftBroadcasting professionals know the difference between professionally captured footage and amateur footage. They know the difference of professional HD video and "prosumer" HDV! That is why they turn to the Violent Skies Team time and time again to provide them with the highest quality, professionally captured tornado video in the storm chasing marketplace.

leftWant LIVE video for your on-air broadcast? We've got your solution and can either provide a live video feed via satellite uplink, or we can provide you with a custom live stream from our Flash Media Server for your online media delivery solutions. No other storm chasing company has the expertise and technical ability, let alone the investment in equipment to provide either your on-air broadcast or rich content website with actual live video of severe storm events as the news happens!

Broadcasters: Use our live streaming technology for your on-air broadcast! Violent Skies Tours has teamed up with the largest video data center in Florida along with companies such as Fox News Network to bring you broadcast quality video that is live directly from our storm chasing tours! This allows you to have two different options for live tornado footage, a "web optimized" data-stream for your rich content needs and a "super quality" live stream for your on-air televised broadcast needs!

Once the video is processed at the data center it can be transmitted via satellite uplink directly to your news room! And, it all happens with only a few seconds of "lag" time!

For access to our live feeds, or to receive more information please email us at: media@violentskiestours.net.

We can also provide you with any programming support in JavaScript, PHP, ASP or ActionScript (Flash) if needed for your custom live video application. Contact us today for a free consultation and live demonstration.

UPDATE: On May 3rd, 2007 near Arnett, Oklahoma, Violent Skies Tours became the first company in history to successfully stream live tornado video over the Internet from a ground-based storm chasing vehicle (The Violent Skies Tour's Van!). The official chase log with photos and video of the event can be found here: http://www.violentskiestours.net/gallery/logs/11.html.

The stream was broadcast live in real-time on www.stormchasing.tv, and delivered via a custom-built Flash Media Server Network. The stream was also broadcast nationwide on network television and shared with several channel partner websites and distributed through our network partners in England, The United States and Australia! The goal of the first live stream was to test our streaming technology system as a whole, Violent Skies Tours is now offering this service to media outlets and rich content providers worldwide. Contact us today and find out how easy it is to embed our live storm video streams into your own rich content delivery application!
